Spring Pins, sometimes referred to as slotted pins, rolled pins, or coiled rolled pins, are hollow, cylindrical tube-style press-fit fasteners with chamfered ends. and are designed to be inserted into a hole that has a smaller diameter than the pin. The pin is sprung so that it can decrease in diameter when installed, allowing for a snug fit while exerting a retaining force against the walls of the hole.
Roll Pins are fasteners that are often used in securing the position of multiple parts of a machine that are relative to each other. They are often used as a ‘key’ to fasten one shaft to another or to fasten flat faces of mating parts together.
