Countersunk rivets are also known as flat rivets and are used in countersunk holes. These types of rivets are commonly used on sliding tracks as they sit flush with the surface, which means the head doesn’t protrude when set in place.

Countersunk rivets are a part that uses its own deformation or interference to connect the riveted parts in riveting. Countersunk head rivets are widely used in automobiles, vehicles, mechanical and electrical products, building decoration, and household appliances. It is used for occasions where the strength requirements are not high, the thread diameter is less than 10MM, and the rivets are screwed in and fastened. All or part of the screw head sinks into the connected piece, and this structure is mostly used in occasions where the surface is flat and smooth, such as the surface of an instrument

Rivet nuts have an advantage over other captivated fasteners because they can be installed on-site or used for repair work to replace a previously installed fastener that has failed. The advantage of installation from one side of the application means that access to the back of the panel is never required. countersunk head rivets include solid rivets, semi-tubular, and blind rivets.

  • Solid rivets: These simple devices consist of a solid shaft with a head on one end; once installed, the headless end of a solid rivet is deformed with a hammer or rivet gun to hold it in place. Perhaps the most widely-used style of rivets, solid rivets is utilized in applications where reliability and safety are important.
  • semi tubular rivets: Semi-tubular rivets (also known as tubular rivets) are essentially the same as solid rivets, but with a shallow hole at the tip, opposite the head. This hole causes the tubular portion of the rivet (around the hole) to roll outward when force is applied.
  • Blind Rivets: Pop rivets, also known as blind rivets, are a type of rivets. They are used in applications where it is limited – or no – access to the rear side (blind side) of the parts to be joined
